AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi felt unwell all of a sudden on Monday forcing her to leave the Lok Sabha while the voting was underway on the Food Security Bill. She was immediately rushed to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Sonia (67) was first taken to intensive care unit (ICU) and later shifted to the cardiology unit after she complained of chest pain and exhaustion. Doctors informed that tests have been conducted and her condition is stable at present.
At around 8.15 pm on Monday, Sonia was taken straight to AIIMS from the Lok Sabha. She was accompanied by her son Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Kumari Selja.
Sonia had earlier undergone a surgery in New York at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in August 2011. Her health condition will be big worry for the Congress party which is already been referred as a sinking ship. Wish Madam a speedy recovery!
