Telangana government is setting up its priorities one after the other in the office. KCR not leaving a single chance to get the prestigious projects to his state.
According to sources the Union Government has agreed to set up an AIIMS-like institute in Telangana. Union Minister for Health Harsh Vardhan has asked the State Government to suggest three to four probable sites with 200 acres each to locate the health institute.
Earlier KCR wrote letter to Union health minister and requested to set up a AIIMS like hospital in Telangna.In his letter The Chief Minister asked the Union Minister to consider sanctioning a teaching hospital to Telangana on the lines of All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Responding to KCR request the centre had written to the state to identify land and resources for setting up AIIMS. Earlier, there was a plan to upgrade NIMS to AIIMS but that plans was shelved.So instead of upgrading NIMS, Telangana would have a new AIIMS.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to ready a proposal to submit to the Centre.The State will have to allocate the land, power and water to the teaching institute, while the Centre takes care of the building hospital infrastructure and its maintenance.Not only that the government is in talks with a Hollywood studio to setup its film making facility in Hyderabad.
