If the reports are to be believed, Billionaire Sajjan Jindal's company JSW which have interest in Mining, Steel and Power is all set to acquire IPL Franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Reportedly, Sajjan Jindal has been in touch with Vijay Mallya for the past few months to own the IPL Franchise. However, Mallya is reluctant to let the franchise which he built and closely associated go out of his hands.
United Spirits LTD owns Royal Challengers Bangalore. Majority of the United Spirits LTD's stake is with Diageo which is now forcing Mallya to sell the franchise as it believes sticking to RCB doesn't make any business sense.
Even it hasn't won an IPL Title yet, Royal Challengers Bangalore has made it to finals twice and the franchise have star players like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and Ab DeVilliers.
