Police on Monday arrested prime accused in the red sanders smuggling case, identified as Gangi Reddy, from Kadapa. As per the reports police have arrested Gangi Reddy in Mauritius airport on Monday. Gangi Reddy was caught by police when he was flying from Mauritius to Sri Lanka and he was nabbed by cops at Mauritius airport.

It may be recalled that 2,500 tonnes of red sanders was seized recently amd Gangi Reddy was arrested in the smuggling case. He was arrested by cops on last April and released on bail on May 16. Gangi Reddy was absconded after releasing on bail. He have been escaping from the state since May 18th soon after results of the general elections come out.

Gangi reddy is one of the prime accused in an attack against CM Chandrababu Naidu wayback in 2004 at Alipiri. As per reports some of the political leaders have assisted Gagngi Reddy and helped to him financially.
