Convicted murderer beheaded in Saudi Arabia

Shuwail al-Amri was convicted of deliberately running over and killing Mohammed al-Amri after an argument, the ministry said.
Al-Amri's beheading brought to 48 the number of people executed in the country this year. There has been an increase in executions over the past six months, according to Amnesty International.
In 2012, a total of 69 people were beheaded in Saudi Arabia, according to rights groups.
At least 250 prisoners remain on death row, including some sentenced for non-violent offences such as apostasy and sorcery.
Rape, homicide, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all capital crimes in Saudi Arabia.
