Exclusive: Why Pawan Kalyan Changed GS Director?

As Sampath Nandi has announced that he will be direct Raviteja in his upcoming film, news has come out that he is out of Pawan Kalyan’s most hyped Gabbar Singh 2. While both the sides maintained poise about the whole happening, a close source of Pawan has now spilled the beans to a leading media about Sampath’s ousting. In fact, the reason is something people have been speculating already.
Owing to Sampath Nandi’s unimpressive scripts, it is heard that Pawan has shown him the door. Story of GS2 was penned by Powerstar himself while the shooting of Attarintiki Daredi was going on. And when Trivikram in caning shoots in Spain, Sampath Nandi narrated a version to Pawan but the latter has disliked it. And then they have spent considerable time in Goa post release of AD, but that too didn’t yield a promising script from the young director. As rumors started spreading by then that Pawan has shelved GS2, the actor immediately gave nod to do a ‘muhurat’ shot, but script work wasn’t in full shape even then. And finally to not waste his time, Pawan moved onto Gopala Gopala, which otherwise he would have busy with GS2 shooting.
And what led to exit of Sampath Nandi finally from the scene? Cinematographer Jayanan Vincent introduced writer-director Bobby after success of “Power” and the young man’s new script impressed Pawan to the core. So, Bobby was taken onboard to direct Gabbar Singh 2 and Sampath was rolled the carpet out.
