First Indian Film to collect Rs 45 crore in ONE DAY

Happy New Year First Day Collections (India alone): Rs 44.97 crore (Including Hindi: Rs 42.62 crore; Telugu: Rs 1.43 crore; Tamil: Rs 93 lakhs).
Trade Pundits say, 'Happy New Year' openings were phenomenal and the film is expected to collect Rs 100 crore in India within 3 days.
Despite 3-Hour Long Duration, 'Happy New Year' managed decent word of mouth and it is expected to join Rs 300 crore club by the end of its full run. We have to wait for few more days to know if it will surpass Aamir Khan's 'Dhoom 3' records or not.
