How Much Distributors lost with GAV?

Ram Charan starrer Govindudu Andarivadele which released on October 1 st ended with mixed response. Even Mega fans are in puzzlement whether GAV is a hit or flop.However Producer Bandla tried to clarify their doubts and he announced that the film has crossed 40 crore mark. But going by the sources distributors of the film have incurred losses of 20 to 30 percent of their investment.
The film was released without competition and enjoyed the huge holiday season but the family entertainer failed to capitalize the situation.Its still wonder how a film which collected 40 crores in two weeks give losses to the distributors.
Two recent released big ticket films Aagadu and Rabhasa failed at BO and the distributors of this films have lost close 50-60 percent of their money .
No competition at Box Office also helped the GAV movie performing better than expected. Few things played spoilsport for GAV failing to sustain for a long time. Lack of promotions is one of the reasons, hudhud cyclone is other major reason for collections to drop since few days.
Going by the numbers one can easily predict the fate of GAV if it released in tough competition.It is now doubtful whether they will include Ko Ko Kodi song as special attraction.
