By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Aug 2014 6:32 AM GMTSpeculations were ripe that Chiranjeevi might be playing the role of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in his 150th flick since sometime. However, the actor-turned-politician brushes aside these rumors.
Chiru: "My 150th film will not be Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Paruchuri Brothers have been asking me to do it but I wish to do entertaining films like Rowdy Alludu, Annayya and Shankardada MBBS. Its will be like icing on the cake if it has an undercurrent message. I don't want to attempt heavy subjects or heavy characters at the moment. May be, I am do Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy sometime in future. Storyline of 150th film is finalized. Director is yet to confirmed".
On the recent meeting with Mani Ratnam, Megastar replied,"That subject wasn't for me. Its for Charan. For some reason, Charan didn't have confidence on that story and hence it didn't workout".
Chiranjeevi expressed happiness over Telugu films nearing Rs 100 crore mark. He opined average films of Ram Charan-range heroes have been collecting Rs 50 crore and super hits have been touching Rs 100 crore. He, however, warned raise in cost of production is a concern.
