Kakinada polling: Rain water affected EVMs?
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 May 2014 5:14 AM GMTRain water is stated to have affected EVMs in Kakinada region. It seems that the EVM machines were kept in JNTU Kakinada office and as heavy rain was encountered in that region, EVMs are expected to get damaged. If this happens, Kakinada may encounter re-polling.
District collector took charge on this aspect and checked the room in which EVMs have been kept. It seems that the district collector Neetu Prasad took the election contestants along with her to JNTU Kakinada to check the EVMs status. After checking the place, she stated to the media that nothing serious happened due to rains.
She further stated that the EVMs are perfectly safe and the entire security and the protection is under control. With this, contestants became happy and left the place after checking that the results will not get disturbed due to the rains. Tension was seen for a while in JNTU Kakinada due to this factor.
