MAA TV pays Rs 90 lakhs for Chandrakala Movie

Satellite Rights of Hansika satrrer 'Chandrakala' which is the dubbed version of Tamil horror comedy 'Aranmanai' fetched good sum. MAA TV has acquired the Satellite Rights of this flick for Rs 90 lakhs.
'Chandrakala' which released last week collected a share of around Rs 1.5 crore in its opening weekend. That's a pretty good figure for a women centric flick which hardly had any promotions.
Horror Comedies seems to be the latest trend in TFI. Films in this genre have been turning into good hits at Box Office and also earning fabulous TRPs for Television screening. We have seen it in the case of Geethanjali, Boochamma Boochodu and now Chandrakala recreates the magic.
