The film, directed by Gunasekhar was hailed as one of the best films, especially in terms of screenplay and direction.Later on, the film was remade in Tamil, Kannada and Bengali as Ghilli, Ajay and Jor respectively and it got succeeded in all languages .Now after a decade the movie has remade in Hindi
As we reported earlier Okkadu is being remade in Hindi and Sreedevi Husband Boney Kapoor has bought the remake rights and his son Arjun Kapoor,who recently shot to fame with the film Ishaqzaade, is going to reprise Mahesh Babu’s role.Heroine Sonakshi Sinha is reprising the role of Bhoomika, actor Manoj Bajpai will be seen in Prakash Raj’s character.
Now, the latest we hear from out Bollywood birdies is that, this film has been named as ‘Tevar’ in Hindi.Apparently, in this film, Arjun will be playing a regular college kid from Agra, who is a Kabaddi champion.
The film was directed by debutante Amit Sharma who shot to fame with short film ‘Google Re-union’
