In a recent interview, Kona Venkat was asked why he claims Pawan Kalyan as his soulmate. "My association with Pawan began with the film 'Balu'. When we meet like-minded people, it might not take years to become close buddies. After 'Balu', we haven't don't a film together. But, we used to meet regularly and share everything. Kalyan is a total introvert. Somehow, he felt comfortable sharing his feelings with me. I never got the feeling that I was with a star. Its like our relation just continued from past lives. Since 10 years, We were sharing any issue. I would either call him or he would message me. Whenever we meet, our conversation will last for hours," shares the writer.
"I am preparing a story for Pawan Kalyan. When I asked 'Kalyan, Nuvvemiti Andariki Isthav, Naaku Cheyyachu Kada Oka Cinema'. He replied, 'Chesko, Nenemaina Vaddannana'. I asked if he is joking, he replied, 'Kona, I don't say anything for the heck of it. If I say something it will be from my heart". He said only one thing, Plan the film by yourself, you produce the film but don't rope a director who charges crores of remuneration, choose a good story that excites me and don't ask for 100-150 days call sheets. He even told I am free to direct the movie if I wish to! He is such a simple person who doesn't do any calculations and his decisions will be very spontaneous. I will 100 person make a film with Pawan and It will be completed by next year," he added.
