Why did Allu Aravind edit portions of Kotha Janta?

Mega producer Allu Aravind isn't sparing anyone to ensure that his younger son Sirish gets all the much needed attention post the release of 'Kotha Janta'.

Director Maruthi roped Sampoornesh Babu (Hrudaya Kaleyam fame) for a key role in the movie and the scenes have come out well. When Allu Aravind has seen the entire film post the completion of shoot, he asked Maruthi to re-shoot few scenes as he doesn't want Burning Star to hog the limelight.

As a result, Maruthi has re-shot few scenes as per Allu Aravind's wish. While the original version has Sampoornesh Babu, the new version will have an extended Posani Krishna Murali and Vennela Kishore characters.

It's only because of this re-shoot, 'Kotha Janta' release which was supposed to be on March 21st got delayed. The film will now release in the month of May, mostly after General Elections.
