She started her career with the Hindi film Raman Raghav 2.0, which made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. Her performance in the film earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Her big break came with the Amazon Prime series Made in Heaven, where she portrayed the character Tara Khanna. This role showcased her talent and opened doors to more prominent projects. She later starred in The Night Manager, an adaptation of the popular UK series, further validating her position in the industry.
Sobhita is also celebrated for her work in regional cinema, with significant roles in movies such as Kurup in Malayalam, Goodachari and Major in Telugu, and Ponniyin Selvan parts 1 and 2 in Tamil. Each of these roles received critical acclaim and commercial success, establishing her as a versatile actress capable of engaging audiences in different languages.
One of her notable films, Moothon, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2019. This bi-lingual Indian film was praised for its storytelling and Sobhita’s compelling performance.
