In December 2017, Anjali starred in the movie "Balloon" alongside Jai and Janani Iyer. Directed by Sinish, the film had a moderate reception at the box office. Despite this, Anjali continued to take on challenging roles, such as her part in "Peranbu" (2019) opposite Mammootty. Though her performance was noteworthy, it was somewhat overshadowed by her co-stars Mammootty and Baby Sandhana.
Anjali also ventured into the horror genre with "Lisaa" (2019), where she played the lead character. Unfortunately, the film did not achieve significant success in terms of reviews or collections. Nevertheless, her career saw a remarkable turn with the web series "Paava Kadhaigal" (2020), where she played a compelling role as a lesbian character under the direction of Vignesh Shivan.
In 2021, Anjali embraced the role of Zarina in the Telugu film "Vakeel Saab," directed by Venu Sriram. The film was a significant box-office success, grossing over ₹137.65 crore worldwide despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This success marked a major comeback for Anjali, reigniting her position in the film industry.
Following her achievements in "Vakeel Saab," Anjali was initially cast in the film "F3" produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations. However, she was later replaced by Sonal Chauhan. Nonetheless, Anjali’s journey through Tamil and Telugu cinema continues to captivate her audience.
On Instagram, Anjali delights her followers with her elegant photos. One such snapshot shows her gracefully draped in a lovely saree, holding a cute dog, capturing a serene moment. Her caption, "Saree saga continues!" perfectly sums up her timeless style, coupled with hashtags like #polodiaries, #saree, and #happy.
