She gained popularity for her performances in projects such as "Supplier Shankara," "Dia" (2020), and "Jersey Number 10" (2023). Starting her career in small television roles, she achieved significant recognition through her portrayal of Devaki, a surrogate mother, in the television series "Jogula." This role marked a turning point in her career and established her as a prominent figure in Kannada television.
Jyothi made her film debut in 2017 with Chethan Mundadi's Tulu drama "Madipu." Since then, she has continued to work in both films and television, with notable releases including "Gandada Kudi" in 2019, directed by the late Santhosh Shetty Kateel. Her performance as Devaki in "Jogula," which aired for over 200 episodes, has left a lasting impact on audiences, solidifying her status in the industry. This series often leads to her being associated with the character she played, and she is fondly referred to as the Shruthi of the small screen.
Despite her success, Jyothi has a humble background. She grew up in Coorg and is of Mangalorean descent. Before fully diving into acting, she worked at Accenture, balancing her corporate job with small television projects until her breakout role changed the course of her career. Following "Jogula," she also worked on the show "Bandhe Barathava Kaala" on ETV, further showcasing her acting skills.
