By: Tupaki Desk | 7 March 2025 5:12 PM ISTIt is already known that the election commission has issued the notification for fulfilling of the nominated posts in Andhra Pradesh. In this context, something very interesting happened today as Naga Babu, who represents Janasena party, filed his nomination for the MLC position today.
Naga Babu filed the nomination papers for the upcoming MLC elections in Andhra Pradesh and he was accompanied by the representatives of the NDA led government of Andhra Pradesh.
Telugu Desam’s Nara Lokesh and Janasena’s Nadendla Manohar were by Naga Babu’s side as he submitted the nomination papers to the returning officer a short while ago. This is a crucial leg in the upcoming MLC nomination process.
The Janasena candidate is going to be supported by Telugu Desam and BJP in the upcoming nomination process, and it is only a matter of time before his nomination gets validated by the MLA voting in Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
Now that denomination process has been completed, we need to wait and see how the election process will go. But in terms of number game and the required majority, the candidate has enough impetus on his side to be nominated to the legislative council.
Considering the fact that the Andhra Pradesh government had already announced that Naga Babu will be included in the state cabinet his nomination as an MLC is only going to be of formality now.
The real discussion is about what will be the nature of the portfolio that will be given to Naga Babu after he gets included in the cabinet.
