Nushrratt Bharuccha's acting career began in 2002. She played a minor role in the TV series Kittie Party. In 2006, she acted in her first Hindi film Jai Santoshi Maa. The following year, she appeared in a music video. Nushrratt expanded her career with Kal Kissne Dekha in 2009. In 2010, she was part of the Telugu film Taj Mahal. She ended her television role with the series Seven as a character named Drishika Kashyap.

Nushrratt gained attention with her first leading role in Love Sex Aur Dhokha in 2010. Dibakar Banerjee and Ekta Kapoor directed the film. Although it was moderately successful, it helped her career. She then starred in Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011. This movie did well and made her popular. She later appeared in Akaash Vani in 2013. Unfortunately, it did not perform as well. In 2014, she acted in Darr @ the Mall. This film also had an underwhelming response.
