12-Year-Old steals Rs 1 lakh to buy a Laptop
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Jun 2015 2:53 PM GMTA 12-Year-Old Boy who lives in Kondotty village of Kozhikode district in Kerala broke open the safety locker of the family and ran away with Rs 1 lakh to buy a laptop.
The Class VII student's request to buy a laptop for him was turned down by his father who is a PWD Engineer as the parent felt he was too young to operate the device. The boy then broke the almirah in the house and left the place with the cash after informing her mother that he was going for a football match. He bought a laptop worth Rs 30,000 and then decided to visit Kochi. After boarding the Kerala State RTC bus at Kozhikode n May 31st, He has fallen asleep and only woke up the next day morning when the vehicle reached Thiruvananthapuram.
Police say, Lady Conductor suspected the boy might have ran away from his house and she began a conversation with him. At first, He told he is from Kochi. However, He broke down and narrated the whole story after the conductor asked him if his mother will be waiting at the destination to pick him up. The conductor took the boy to the nearby police station from where his parents were contacted and handed him over to them.
