5 Smart Cities in Telangana

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao declared he takes the responsibility to develop five cities in state at a rapid pace. He revealed that Government is going to appeal Centre to include Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Khammam along with Hyderabad in 100 Smart Cities List.
K Chandrasekhar Rao pointed out that drainage system in Hyderabad is so bad and the places were Assembly, Raj Bhavan and CM Office were located look worse if there was a slight rainfall. He went on to say Rs 10,000 crore were required to improve the drainage system.
Chief Minister maintained ensuring 135 litres of water to each person, improving highways and drainage system in all these 5 cities have been on his agenda. He opined Khammam is developing at a rapid pace. He revealed a new power station with 4,000 MW capacity has been coming up in Kothagudem.
