8 Minister skip Cabinet Meeting
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Sep 2013 2:13 PM GMTAs many as 8 ministers skipped the cabinet meeting held on Friday under the leadership of chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy after a gap of two months. About six ministers from Seemandhra (Ganta Srinivas Raom Erasu Pratap Reddy, TG Venkatesh, C Ramachandraiah, Galla Aruna Kumari and Md Ahmedullah) and two ministers from Telangana (Geetha Reddy, Danam Nagender) haven't attended the meeting.
In the meeting, Panchayat Raj Minister Jana Reddy urged the chief minister to take steps to put an end to the ongoing agitations of APNGOs in the Seemandhra region. In response, CM Kiran said Cabinet sub-committee is already holding talks with striking employees and expressed hope that strike will end soon.
Even though most of Telangana ministers have been openly criticizing the Pro-United AP stand of CM Kiran, majority of them attended the cabinet meeting. Surprisingly, Several Seemandhra ministers have given a skip though CM is opposing T-state.
