Actress Kanaka in her final days

Actress Kanaka who was diagnosed with advanced stages of cancer in January this year is living her last days now. The treatment she has been undergoing since six months didn't produce any positive results and doctors have informed her that she is in her final stages. She decided to spend her last days in the hospital itself as there is no one to take care of her and she appealed to the authorities not to allow any visitors to meet her during this period.
Kanaka is the daughter of yesteryear actress Devika. She acted in over 40 films down South, covering all the South Indian languages except Kannada. Her one and only Telugu film 'Valu Jada Tolu Beltu' opposite Rajendra Prasad released in the year 1990. She was in the Industry for over 15 years and her last film released in the year 2004. She acted with stalwarts like Rajini, Mammooty, Mohanlal, Vijaykanth, Prabhu and Karthik.
