Actress Manjula Vijaykumar passes away

Veteran actress Manjula Vijaykumar passed away in Chennai Today.
Manjula (59) made her debut with the film Shanthi Nilayam in the year 1969 and played female lead for the first time in 'Rickshawkaran (1971) opposite MGR. Since the late 80s, she began playing character roles and even appeared as Venkatesh's mother in the movie 'Vasu'. She acted in over 100 films and shared screen space with great like NTR, MGR, ANR, Shivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Vishnuvardhan, Shobhan Babu, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and few others.
Manjula and actor Vijaykumar got married after they fell in love on the sets of Unnidam Mayanguhiren. The couple have three daughters namely Vanitha, Preethi and Sridevi.
Film personalities have been expressing their deep condolences to the family of Manjula Vijaykumar. May her soul rest in peace!
