Amaravathi - AP New Capital?

Speculations of new capital of AP to be built around Amaravati have been doing rounds since few days. Even a senior minister confirmed these developments.
Sources say, CM Chandrababu Naidu changed his plans although he initially preferred Mangalagiri for capital as the land prices here are too high. He then choose Amaravathi which is an ancient town and has got a lot of importance in the history. The Amaravati town has got abundant government land needed to set up large building and infrastructure for a world class capital.
Officials are currently working on the blue print to built 6-8 lane bridge Guntur and Vijayawada, and another one between Krishna and Amaravati to improve the connectivity.
