Andhra-Telangana honeymoon ended in 2003
By: Tupaki Desk | 8 Sep 2013 12:38 PM GMTAPNGOs Ashok Babu fired at the comments of Politicians saying Seemandhra employees could stay in Hyderabad for the next 10 years. "Today, we have security only because we are united. The situation will change once the division happens as Telangana leaders, employees will be taking over the power," he told.
Ashok Babu reminded that former prime minister Indira Gandhi opposed the division of state when 'Jai Andhra' movement was at a peak stage. "A boy (Andhra) and a girl (Telangana) have given birth to their first child (Hyderabad). It's not fair to ask the boy to leave the girl after the delivery. Until 2003, it's been like a honey moon and everything has gone for a toss ever since then. People have to decide if they should live together or get separated," he added, warning that around 30 issues will arise if division happens.
