Another Clear indication of Telangana state

Giving strength to the version that Congress high command willn't be going on the July 30th announcement declaring Telanagana state, State Government decided to expand and improve the infrastructure at the Gannavaram airport near Vijayawada. About Ra 280 crore have been allocated for the renovation, including Ra 110 crore for acquire 492 actress of land and Rs 170 crore for the construction of airport terminal building, air traffic control tower and other infrastructure facilities to make it look like on par with any National-level airport in the country.
State government has entered into an agreement with the Airports Authority of India for the expansion of the airport in 2007 itself. However, the process got delayed because of the issues in land acquisition. On Friday, Cabinet approved the package and the process is going to fasten now.
Cities like Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Tirupati have airports. Chances were high that Visakha airport is going to get upgraded to international standards.
