AP Ex-CM invites Amma to form Govt

Accepting the resignation of CM on Friday Governor K. Rosaiah invited AIADMK general secretary J.Jayalalithaa to form the ministry at the earliest. Rosaiah also requested Jayalalithaa to send the list of people to be appointed as ministers with their portfolios.
Earlier in the day AIADMK leaders at their meeting the party headquarters elected Jayalalithaa as the leader of the legislature party.Panneerselvam announced his resignation while proposing Jayalalithaa's name as the leader of the legislature party.
Last September Jayalalithaa had to resign from her post as chief minister after she was convicted by a trial court in the disproportionate assets case. On May 11, the Karnataka high court scrapped the trial court conviction and cleared Jayalalithaa of all charges.
