This is a result of pressure on tribes to get connected with the mainstream society. Most of these languages which went missing were used by coastal and nomadic tribes. The study also brought to the notice that tribal language spoken in Northern parts of AP are intact as the threat to existence is less in these areas.
Few more languages which are on the verge of vanishing include Kupiya (East Godavari), Mannadona (West Godavari), Yerakula, Manda, Gutaba Gadab and Gormati.
Study also stated Scheduled Languages of other states that were spoken in few parts of AP are quite different from each other. For example, Adivasi Oriya which is spoken in AP has nothing to do with actual Oriya.
Apart from Telugu being widely spoken language in the state, the prominence for English has grown at a rapid pace in Hyderabad. The study participated by 3000 volunteers would be published in an year.
