AP Minister pledges to donate Organs

He even went on to appeal people especially the families of brain dead patients to voluntarily come forward for a good cause. He opined donating organs is gifting a second life to the patients.
As per statistics, A mere 0.16 percent per 10 lakh Indians came forward to donate their organs in the year 2013. Over 5 lakh people are losing their lives ever year due the shortage of organs. Lack of awareness about organ donation has led to such a pathetic situation in the country.
About 50% of the patients who are in desperate need of organs could have a second life if the organs of brain dead people were donated.
Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas asserted AP Government is committed to provide quality medicare to the people.
