Arvind Kejriwal arrested, sent to Tihar Jail!

AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the defamation suit filed by BJP senior leader Nitin Gadkari for including his in name in the list of 'India's Most Corrupt'.
However, Arvind Kejriwal refused to furnish the bail bond or personal bond with surety forcing the Metropolitan Magistrate to send him to judicial custody for 2 days (till May 23rd). "This is my principle that when I have not done anything wrong, I will not seek bail. I am ready to go to jail," he said, when the Magistrate asked him to furnish a personal bail bond of Rs 10,000.
"The procedure is that a person has to file bail bond. Why should we follow a different procedure in this case? Are you looking for some exceptional treatment?," the Magistrate questioned before sending Kejriwal to judicial custody.
AAP Activists protested before Tihar Jail and this led to imposing of 144 Section outside the central prison.
Critics say, This is nothing but another political stunt by AAP to gain some mileage as there will be a re-election for Delhi Assembly soon.
