Anything will happen in cricket and once again Bangladesh team proved the fact by defeating strong side of England.Bangladesh entered to quarter finals by beating England team. With victory of Bangla England were knocked out of the World Cup

Chasing target of 276 , England were bowled out for 260 . Ian Bell (63), Jos Buttler (65) and Chris Woakes (not out 42) did their best, yet they fell short by 15 runs. For Bangladesh, medium pacers Rubel Hossain (4-53), skipper Moshrafe Mortaza (2-48) and Taskin Ahmed (2-59) did all the damage against the much-vaunted English team.

Bangladesh had earlier posted 275-7 and thanks to 103 from Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim's 89.It was just the second time for Bangla to enter into next stage. Bangla created history by sailing past the group stages of the World Cup for the first time since2007.

Eight years back in the West Indies, the same Bangla team had stunned India by defeating it in league stage. In 2007 Bangladesh caused a shock by beating India by 5 wickets (with 9 balls remaining) in Group B at the World Cup . India moved out from the world cup due to taht defeat. Many Indian fans have labelled the team's performance 'shambolic' and one of the darkest days in Indian cricket history, while some have responded by burning effigies of players.

England go out in the group stages for the third time in five World Cups, while Bangladesh advance past the first round for only the second occasion. Bangladesh's victory also secured Sri Lanka's place in the last eight, alongside Pool A winners New Zealand and Australia.
