Bride dies as Car falls into canal in Krishna district

Tragedy struck a family in Krishna district that was preparing for a wedding . At least 4 members of a marriage party, including the bride, were killed in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district Wednesday, police said.
. The accident took place near KEB canal near Totlavalluru mandal on Wednesday evening.The car fell into KEB canal and the intensity of the accident was very high.The victims, who were all from Krishna district, were going to Guntur from Challapalli. Police said that the car driver lost control over the wheel and rammed the vehicle into the canal.
Being the bride’s relatives, the deceased were involved in making marriage arrangements. Police along with help of locals lifted the bodies up and the car was lifted by a crane.
Andhra Pradesh tops in road fatalities in the country. Increasing road mishaps in the Krishna district are giving sleepless nights to the officials of the transport and police departments. Roads are no longer safe for the people.
