Cheating case against Management Guru
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 May 2015 1:59 PM GMTThe crime branch of Delhi Police registered a case against Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) founder Arindam Chaudhuri on a complaint by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The case was registered against Management Guru stating that the institute have cheated the students as it is not recognised by any regulatory body. A case under section 420 (cheating) of the IPC was registered against the institute’s dean Arindam Chaudhuri and his father, Malayendra Kisor Chaudhuri.
The UGC further said that the institute did not have any permission to issue degrees in management courses. IIPM was not available for comment on the matter.IIPM is treated as one of the prestigious institutions and it has inducted thousands of students under its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business and management. The courses were very expensive and it collects fee that ranges between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 14 lakh for 22 months.
