Committee first shock to Naidu @ Capital

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has always preferred the location between Vijayawada and Guntur (Tenali, Magalagiri - VGTM) as new capital. He, however, didn't expect Sivaramakrishnan Committee will give him a shock.
In the report submitted by Sivaramakrishnan Committee to Centre, It was mentioned that Vijayawada-Guntur isn't the right choice for AP Capital. It informed a capital requires at least 10,000 acres vacant land but VGTM have just 1,458 acres.
Sivaramakrishnan Committee brought to the notice of centre and state governments that land acquisition in the present situation will leave huge impact on the state exchequer as the price in Vijayawada and Guntur have gone up by 40% in the past 3 months. It also stressed even if government plans land acquisition in Vijayawada-Guntur, the process takes at least 3-4 years to complete.
