Congress aprty gets a big blow In Andhra Pradesh.Dumping his four decades association with the Congress party senior leader and five time MLA Kanna Lakshminarayana officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Kanna joined in the presence of its State president and Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu in Vijayawada on Wednesday.Speaking to media persons after joining BJP he said that Narendra Modi's innovative measures have made him join the party.Lakshminarayana further said he was in touch with some more leaders of the Congress party in Guntur district who expressed their intent to join BJP.
Kanna was elected as MLA for five times on the Congress party ticket from Guntur district and had been minister for 14 years in the Congress government of the undivided AP state.Along with Kanna hsi son Nagaraju, and Guntur Cooperative Urban Bank Limited Chairman Kothamasu Srinivasa Rao were among those who joined BJP.
Kanna belongs to a Kapu community and his presence was certainly a big boost up for the saffron party and it was a big shock to congress.
