Earlier Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy moved resolution by rejecting the AP Reorganisation Bill. It was initially thought that Speaker Nandela Manohar would only send the opinion in the form of affidavits. But in a surprise move, the Speaker accepted Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy’s recommendation and put the bill to vote in an Assembly dominated by Seemandhra legislators
Manohar announced that the resolution moved by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for rejecting the bill was carried and adjourned the house.The move has come as an embarrassment to the center as the party had piloted the bill to create a separate Telangana state carved out of Andhra Pradesh.
Other side, Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader KT Ramarao appealed the people of Telangana not to panic, saying that the assembly decision was a mere formality. He also added that the Bihar assembly had rejected the Jharkhand bill but a new state was created.
