Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur stirred a controversy with his remarks that consumption of liquor is just a fundamental right and a status symbol too.
Mr. Gaur said Alcohol doesn't increase crime when consumed in limited quantity. He also added people lose their consciousness when over drunk and that's how it leads to crime. The Minister made these comments when he was asked by the mediapersons about the extension of timing for liquor sale from 10 pm to 11:30 pm in the state.
Earlier, Babulal Gaur was in news by commenting sexual crimes in Chennai is low when compared to other states because women here wear full clothes.
