Erra Bus division finished!
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 May 2014 10:42 AM GMTWith the date of Telangna state formation is nearing (June 2) Officials got busy with sharing of united infrastructure between Telangana and residuary state.APSRTC which fondly called as Erra Bus is also undergoing division in the wake of state bifurcation. All the zones, routes, assets, debts, officials, employees, buses is being divided for both the regions.
The panel looking after RTC division submitted a report to the Governor E S L Narasimhan. The officials calculated the losses for the last five years and divided it in 58:42 ratio between the residuary AP and Telangana.
The debt burden at present is around Rs 5,000 crore and it has to be shared. The assets have been divided as per their location and their value in both the regions is said to be Rs 50,000 crore .It is said that the debts of 4725 Crores and Assets 9548 Crores will be divided later. According to reports The APSRTC of residuary Andhra Pradesh will go with a debt burden of Rs 3,000 crore on its back and some of unions objecting this very strongly.
The RTC hospital, RTC driving school and printing press would be run by both the states till the new capital is constituted for Seemandhra. The current name ‘Andhra Pradesh State Road Transportation Corporation’ will be retained by Seema Andhra while it will be called as ‘Telangana State Road Transportation Corporation’.
