Former chief minister tests positive for Swine flu
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Feb 2015 12:52 PM GMTFormer chief minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot has been tested positive for Swine Flu.Gehlot on Sunday tweeted that he tested positive with Swine Flu.He has slammed the BJP state government by saying that adequate awareness drives have not been carried out.
"I have tested positive for swine flu. However, I have started treatment on time and now there is improvement," Gehlot tweeted.
"Why did the state government not launch awareness campaign on swine flu earlier? People are dying because of lack of information and awareness."He added
Gehlot further tweeted: “The decision to offer free swine flu check-up comes after three days. This reveals the lack of seriousness of the government and the administration.”
In another tweet, he vented further: “This is the state of affairs at the state’s biggest hospital, the Sawai Man Singh hospital in Jaipur, so what can we expect in the other districts?”
Swine Flu cases are rampant in Rajasthan.Thirty-nine people have died in the state till Saturday because of swine flu. Of these, 12 are from the state capital Jaipur. Over 120 people are reported to have been tested positive for swine flu across the state.
