GHMC earns Rs 500 crore from Household Survey?

The Intensive Household Survey conducted by Telangana government could increase the income up to Rs 500 crore for GHMC.
As of now, GHMC receives anywhere around Rs 1,000 crore from houses and business establishments. As per population statistics, There are over Rs 15 lakh houses in GHMC region. The survey brought to light that the actual count could even touch Rs 23 lakhs.
GHMC Official says, GHMC will appoint staff to impose fine on newly found 10 lakh houses based on the area they occupy. Even the multiple tenants in apartments will be taken into consideration this time and taxes will be imposed accordingly.
The decision of Telangana chief minister seems to earning positive results to the government machinery already.
