GHMC seizes Hyderabad Uppal Stadium

The GHMC authorities gave sudden shock to HCA authorities. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) had seized the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal for evading tax of 12 crores.The decision of GHMC shocked all as it comes ahead of the crucial IPL match between Hyderabad Sun Risers and Kings XI Punjab.
The authorities of GHMC claimed that they had given several notices to the Uppal stadium authorities, but the latter paid no heed. So the authorities decided to seize the stadium. This is not the first time Uppal Stadium found itself in a tax row. Earlier HCA authorities faced criticism for not paying taxes on time.
