Girl calls off Marriage after Groom fails in the Test

Being Illiterate has costed a Man his marriage as the girl whom he was supposed to marry refused to tie the knot. This incident took place in Maritar village of Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh.
The Girl who is a graduate suspected the Groom might be an illiterate after the initial rituals. It was then the girl asked him to count Currency Notes and he was unable to pass the test. The Bride then called off the wedding even after initial rituals were performed.
As a heated argument developed between the families of the Bride and the Groom post this development, A Panchayat was called and village heads asked the kin of the Groom to leave for Bihar.
It's an another case of how particular girls have been about their life partners and the importance of education. Changing Times!
