Hi-Tech City is all set to become Wireless if the plans of Telangana Government turn fruitful. Within few months, The overhead Electric Wires will be replaced with Underground Cables in the IT Corridor.

Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) is going to take up underground cabling works in Madhapur and Gachibowli. In the first phase, Underground Cabling will be done for a 2.5 m stretch (Raheja Mind Space - Inorbit Mall & Raheja Mind Space - Biodiversity Park). To place the cables, Earth will be dug up to 2 ft. This underground cable track will be used for pedestrian later. The total project cost is Rs 15 crore and it would take about 8 months to complete.

Depending on the feedback, Underground Cables will be extended to the entire IT Corridor in the Cyberabad. The New Industrial Parks will have no overhead electric cables from now.
