'If Modi could become PM, I can be CM'
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 Oct 2014 10:53 AM GMTShiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray announced his wish to become Chief Minister of Maharashtra if his party is voted to power in the general elections. "If a Chai vendor could become the Prime Minister of the country, why can't Thackeray become the Chief Minister," he told in an interview to Saamana, which is the mouth piece of Shiv Sena.
Uddhav Thackeray commented Delhi can't decide the who would the chief minister and the decision was in the hands of people of Maharashtra.
Responding to BJP President Amit Shah's comments about Shiv Sena being a 'mouse that needed to be shown its place', Uddhav shot back, "Maharashtra would never bear the insult/disrespect of people describing it as a mouse and saffron leaders don't know the power of Marathis. BJP is going to face the brunt of people".
