The clash is going to be between YS Vijayamma and 'Chinnamma' Purandeswari in Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha Constituency. While YS Jagan has named his mom as party candidate for Visakha, TDP allotted the same Parliament segment to BJP as part of their seat sharing deal.
Until recently, It was former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao who is in race for TDP ticket from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha segment. But, TDP leadership has asked him to contest from Bhimili Assemble constituency in 2014 Polls. As a result, Purandeswari would contest from the same seat she got elected in 2009 but this time on BJP ticket.
Political Observers say, Vijayamma has an upper hand over Purandeswari in Visakha as she is the first time. On the other hand, there is negative wave against Purandeswari for failing to stall bifurcation despite being a Union Minister in UPA Cabinet.
