Union Minister Venkaiash Naidu criticized poll sops like farm loan waiver and free power to agriculture citing both of them weren't good in the interest of farmers and government. He found fault with political parties competing to announce free sops instead of focusing on improving the standards of the common man. He point out Narendra Modi was in power in Gujarat for 3 consecutive terms without announcing any free sops.
Venkaiash Naidu advised Government need to provide good fertilizers and seeds, ensure water, uninterrupted power supply and better prices instead of loan waiver.
Even Jagan objected TDP's farm loan waiver saying its not practical and it leads to more troubles.
