Japan keen to develop Andhra capital city

As per the reports Japan is keen to develop Vijayawada-Guntur region as a smart city and representatives of various economic agencies of Japan expressed interest on the same.
A delegation from some Japan organizations met AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday and said that they were interested in studying the region and helping the AP government design and set up the capital.Not only that they also extends help on setting up power three projects in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Anantapur.
They expressed interest in setting two 4,000 MW thermal plants in Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts and a 2,000 MW solar power unit in Anantapuram district.
The delegation also wanted a representation from Andhra Pradesh where they will be meeting officials of 100 companies in New Delhi next month.The delegation reportedly shared their interest in transfer of high-technology in agriculture and food processing sectors.The team pitched for setting up an industrial park, food park and cold-storage units.
Chandrababu not yet assured anything to the delegation and he might took decision on his Japan tour which will be scheduled on next month.This would be a prelude to the proposed visit of Naidu to Japan next month.
The delegation consisted representatives of key economic organizations like Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), New Energy and Industrial Technology Development (NEDO) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
