Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao delivered his first speech assuring that his government would ensure overall development of Telangana State.He promised a corruption-free and transparent government with its top priority to work for the welfare of the poor and weaker sections of society

KCR described the formation of Telangana as people's victory. He said that Sakala Janula Samme provided momentum to the struggle which resulted in formation of Telangana.In his maiden speech after taking oath as the chief minister of the new state, Rao said Telangana state had become a reality due to the sacrifices of the martyrs of 1969 and the participation of all sections of the society in the movement in recent years

KCR first speech comprises with full of promises and he assured betterment of telangana society. He announced Telangana Special Increment for the employees besides assuring their pay scales would be made on par with Central Government employees. He also promised health cards for all the employees. He also said that the promises made to pensioners, beedi workers and other sections too would be fulfilled and about Rs One lakh would be spent on various welfare measures.

The Chief Minister said that his government was waiving the farm loans up to Rs one Lakh as promised earlier. He assured that the new housing scheme too would be implemented soon.
Making a mention of ITIR project, he said several global players were keen to invest in Hyderabad.

However, he said peace and proper law and order in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and Cyberabad region was essential to draw global investments. He said nearly 10,000 CCTV cameras would be installed for round-the-clock surveillance.

The Chief Minister stressed upon better policing. He advised policemen to maintain friendly relationship with the people. He said the mobility and communications of the police force would be upgraded.

On final note KCR said that the TRS Government would maintain good relationship with the Centre.
