KCR wants Bharat Ratna for HIM
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Aug 2014 8:49 AM GMTTelangana Government recommended Bharat Ratna which is country's highest civilian award to former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao for his invaluable contribution to the Country's economy with his reforms.
Padma awards committee which was headed by T-Government chief secretary Rajiv Sharma has sought this honour for Telanganite PV Narasimha Rao.
PV Narasimha Rao (Date of Birth: June 28th, 1921) was a native of Karimnagar. He became the Prime Minister of the country from a normal Congress party worker and went on to bring economic reforms which put India on World map. He tenure as Prime Minister during 1991 to 1996 has produced good results.
In fact, PV served as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh during the period 1971-73.
Although Kiran Kumar Reddy's government recommended PV's name for Bharat Ratna, UPA turned down the request as Gandhi Family because of the troubled relationship in the past. Let's see what NDA does now!
